Baby News!

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. That is indeed true for Jeff and I. After a difficult few months of struggles, and supporting each other in 2007 we were ready to move forward into 2008 with a bright look at what lies ahead for us. The end of September we got a black lab puppy 7 weeks old, and named him Barron (such a sweet gentle puppy that we adore, possibly too much). We both purchased our ski passes for this season and were looking forward to some great snow.

We found out we had been blessed with a little one on a warm Thursday, November 1st. With all we had been through we were both feeling a little anxiety with a lot of excitement and anticipation of the next 8 weeks particularly. During this time we were able to see and hear the heart beating at only 7 weeks. The baby was only the size of a pea, but we could see the beating heart.....very surreal. This helped eased some anxiety, however not the nausea I was feeling, which progressed all day every day for the next 7-8 weeks.

We will keep you posted on the progression of the new member of the Carter family as we receive the news!
